Undefeated NFL teams 2024: Chiefs stand alone after Week 7

Through seven weeks of the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs are the only undefeated team remaining.

Starting 6-0 is hardly a guarantee of postseason success, but it certainly doesn't hurt, and Kansas City has given itself an early leg up on the competition. The Chiefs kept their record spotless with an impressive 28-18 win over the 49ers in Santa Clara on Sunday.

The Minnesota Vikings, who were also undefeated entering the weekend, fell 31-29 to Detroit on a field goal just before the 2-minute warning.

Kansas City Chiefs

The two-time defending Super Bowl champions haven't always won pretty, but they've won all the same. The Chiefs beat the Ravens by seven, the Bengals by one, the Falcons by five and the Chargers by seven. Then on a couple of Mondays ago, they stifled a Saints team that had looked dangerous offensively, winning 26-13. Some teams just know how to win, and the Chiefs just might be getting stronger as they go. The way they dominated the 49ers defensively in Week 7 certainly seems to suggest as much.
