2024 College Football Playoff odds: Oregon, Texas, UGA, OSU or the field?

There are eight teams left in the College Football Playoff, including a number of the big dogs.

The first round of the CFP was completed on Saturday, and each team that was slated to win did just that — handily.

Now we're on to the quarterfinals. But there are odds that go beyond simple game lines. 

How about Texas and Ohio State vs. the field? How about the other two favorites, Oregon and Georgia, against the best of the rest?

Let's dive into the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Dec. 21.

CFP Championship Game Winner — Georgia vs. the field

Georgia: +550 (bet $10 to win $65 total)
The field: -900 (bet $10 to win $11.11 total)

CFP Championship Game Winner — Ohio State vs. the field

Ohio State: +380 (bet $10 to win $48 total)
The field: -550 (bet $10 to win $11.82 total)

CFP Championship Game Winner — Oregon vs. the field

Oregon: +400 (bet $10 to win $50 total)
The field: -600 (bet $10 to win $11.67 total)

CFP Championship Game Winner — Texas vs. the field

Texas: +340 (bet $10 to win $44 total)
The field: -475 (bet $10 to win $12.11 total)

As noted, the field — which includes Notre Dame, Penn State, Boise State and Arizona State — is a heavy favorite over the SEC-champion Bulldogs, SEC finalist Longhorns, Big Ten-champion Ducks and the Buckeyes.

Of the four teams facing odds against the field, the Ducks are the only ones that are undefeated. They had a first-round bye, as well as Georgia. 

Texas and Ohio State both put together dominant performances in the first round, with the Longhorns defeating Clemson 38-24 and the Buckeyes defeating Tennessee 42-17.

DraftKings also has odds for which teams are favored to make the CFP title game.

Georgia to reach CFP Championship Game

Yes: -275 (bet $10 to win $13.64 total)
No: +210 (bet $10 to win $31 total)

Ohio State to reach CFP Championship Game

Yes: -290 (bet $10 to win $13.45 total)
No: +220 (bet $10 to win $32 total)

Oregon to reach CFP Championship Game

Yes: -300 (bet $10 to win $13.33 total)
No: +230 (bet $10 to win $43 total)

Texas to reach CFP Championship Game

Yes: -180 (bet $10 to win $15.56 total)
No: +145 (bet $10 to win $24.50 total)

Lastly, the Big Ten (Oregon, Penn State and Ohio State) is at -125 to be the winning conference. Second to it is the SEC (Georgia and Texas) at +165.

Independents (Notre Dame) are at +550, the Big 12 (Arizona State) is at +7000 and the Mountain West (Boise State) is at +7000.
